Working closely with CVEP’s Director of Analytic Services, David Robinson, the Hunter|Johnsen team designed the April 2025 Desert Healthcare District & Foundation’s report. The data-driven report shines a spotlight on a major challenge facing the Coachella Valley: the urgent need to grow its healthcare workforce and services.
Our role was to shape the story visually: to take models, workforce projections, and geographic data, and translate them into something that decision-makers, stakeholders, and community members could use and understand.
Our focus was on:
- Clarity – making it easy for a reader to walk away with the big picture
- Insight – highlighting the custom-designed maps identifying potential sites for new clinics in medically underserved areas
- Relatability – helping to visualize the key statistics – the valley’s need for 181 more primary care physicians – with a clean, professional look
- Collaboration – working with Robinson, our goal was to make the final report useful, visual, and memorable
We’re proud to have played a small part in helping this key information reach its audience – from local officials to health advocates, to the community itself. The full report is available here.
