One of the pre-eminent speaker series in the nation, Desert Town Hall features world-class speakers, intellectual content, and youth education to the Coachella Valley. The series offers four programs each year, typically from January to April.
The biggest and most influential names in the world have come to Indian Wells, creating lifetime memories for all those who attend. From Bob Costas, Chris Wallace, and Caroline Kennedy, to Scott Kelly, Chris Christie, and Condoleezza Rice, the noted list of speakers in the series’ history is indeed impressive.
The 2025 season featured:
- Dan Buettner, Expert on Blue Zones, celebrated author and National Geographic Fellow, sharing the keys to health and longevity
- Stephen Harper, Former Prime Minister of Canada, Global leader known for his dedication to prosperity, security and conservative principles
- Mitch Albom, Author of “Tuesdays with Morrie,” whose heartfelt stories and profound narratives inspire reflections on life’s greatest lessons
- Megyn Kelly: Journalist and Media Personality, known for her in-depth reporting and ability to navigate the intersection of news and culture.
Support from sponsors and community donations make possible a memorable experience for students who participate in Youth Town Hall, presented by the H. N. & Frances C. Berger Foundation’s Desert Town Hall. Representing the socio-economic diversity found in the Coachella Valley, students from 22 area high schools are invited to attend. More than 150 students attend each of four lectures each year.
