A multi-page report has a lot of work to do.

It may need to present statistics, explain programs, highlight accomplishments, organize detailed information and keep readers engaged from the first page to the last. Good design can make all of that considerably easier.

At Hunter|Johnsen, we enjoy taking content-heavy documents and turning them into publications that are polished, cohesive and easy to navigate. That might mean an annual report, community report, project summary, strategic document, brochure or another publication that needs to communicate a substantial amount of information clearly.

We look at the entire piece—not simply page by page. Typography, photography, graphics, charts, callouts, white space, section breaks and the overall visual hierarchy all work together to guide the reader through the information.

The goal is never to make a report look “designed” just for the sake of design. It should look professional, reflect the organization behind it and, most importantly, make the content easier to understand.

We also know that creating a multi-page publication can involve a lot of moving parts: changing copy, updated numbers, new photos, multiple reviewers and plenty of last-minute refinements. We’re accustomed to that process. We keep things organized, respond quickly and work collaboratively from the first draft through the final file.

And yes—we genuinely love this kind of project.

There’s something especially satisfying about taking pages of information and transforming them into a finished publication that an organization is proud to share.

If you have a report, publication or other multi-page project coming up, we’d be happy to help bring it together.
